Looks Description:
Akasha is a bright and cheery girl and this disposition shines through in most things from how she walks to how she talks and especially through her facial expressions. There is rarely a moment when this spunky young woman does not have smile or grin on her face. With such a cheery disposition and warm brown eyes, her facial features does make her look cute. Especially when you consider the fact that Akasha is only 5'2" if you do not count her hair which is styled into soft spikes, some which obey gravity and others that do not. This brown hair spikes out from having Akasha having it parted at the side. The young woman is well toned as her occupation demands of her, having performed physical training drills regularly since the the age of 10. She is scarred, an unavoidable complication of reaching Jōnin, having a half-inch wide scar that runs halfway between her right elbow and the shoulder on said arm, as well as another, thinner scar that reaches from just below her left breast and down to just above her left hip. While we're still on the topic of skin markings, Akasha has several intricate patterns on her arms and legs, almost tattoo-like in appearance, a result of her forays into fūinjutsu.
For clothing she has a combat regalia and then an assortment of clothes that she wears while just milling about her home, relaxing as she recovers from a mission or something or other. Since she wears such a varied amount of clothing when relaxing in the safety of her home, only her combat regalia is described here, assume she is wearing it unless otherwise noted. First and foremost, Akasha is a Jōnin and proudly wears her custom jōnin flack jacket with the Kirigakure symbol placed over her heart, it is simply too nifty to leave behind. Underneath this she wears a long sleeved mesh shirt over a yellow tank top, which in turn is placed over her sports bra.
To this she wears a sort of dark blue ninja pants that are rather stretchy and tight fitting, restricting her movements by as little as possible while also staying in place and shuriken and kunai pouches and such be attached to them via belts and such. Speaking of belts, Akasha wears a multipurpose one that has several places where pouches, bags and scrolls can be attached to. This belt is not too visible since Akasha wears a matte gray obi over it to cover it, making it harder to spot and thus easier to surprise enemies by retrieving things from it. Out of necessity Akasha wears a pair of black ninja combat boots that end just below mid-calf, she'd much prefer to go around barefoot if it wasn't for the ease at which you can pick up leeches in Mizu no Kuni. To finish her outfit Akasha wears a pair of wide goggles of some kind of clear orange substance within a white rim.
Personality Description:
Bright, cheery, and spunky, Akasha somehow still believes in the ultimate goodness of humanity despite her years as a ninja having proved otherwise. She is full of energy and nearly always with a smile or grin on her face, refusing to not stay upbeat. She is that person. You know, the person who is almost so happy that you hate her, only Akasha's kind nature prevents the slight annoyance people might have at her mannerisms from growing and turning into outright dislike or worse.
She also has this problem with the darker sides of being a ninja, preferring to incapacitate and capture enemies rather than killing them. This is a throwback from the harsh lessons she was taught by reality and the following discussions she held with the old matron of the orphanage in which Akasha grew up, Mushka being a crippled and retired shinobi with a distaste for killing except when absolutely necessary. Seeing someone who is feeling down Akasha is likely the first person to try and say some encouraging words, the fact that she will first use her sensory abilities to determine who the person in question is just a testament to how she has adapted to the harsh lessons life has thrown at her.
This is not to say that Akasha can not feel anything but indifference and happiness, she is capable of the whole emotional spectrum, it is just that she tends to not show it outwards unless it overwhelms her, using her cheeriness as a sort of defense and buffer against life itself. Out of the negative feelings the one Akasha is most likely to feel is annoyance, and if she feels enough of it her right eyebrow will begin to twitch with increasing frequency until it all either bowls over into anger, is channelled towards positive emotions, or just dissipated through various events
One would think that a girl such as Akasha would be unable to sit still even for a moment, however her accomplishments in reaching the rank of Jōnin shows otherwise. Earlier in her life the fact that Akasha could channel all of her near boundless energy and cheer into intense focus when dealing with 'shinies' (weapons) and 'writies' (seals) was almost a marvel beyond comprehension to her at times exhausted teachers. In the years following that mission Akasha went through a long series of therapy sessions. There were two benefits to this; Akasha is not longer the broken shell she was upon her return to Kirigakure nearly 4 years ago and she has learned that being shaky and nervous can sometimes give way to the greatest rush possible, a rush better than sex. In short, Akasha has become a bit of an adrenaline junky and coupled with her otherwise cheery and rather spunky nature this has made her playfully taunt enemies, sometimes in very stupid situations.
Likes:
- Weapons of various kinds, she is kind of a weapons geek and can actually create several weapons through fūinjutsu based smithing techniques.
- Seals of all kinds, it is one of the few quiet activities that Akasha genuinely enjoy. She especially enjoys making new seals in ways that haven't been thought of before.
- Food, for since Akasha is nearly constantly moving around she needs quite a bit of energy, her cheer makes it near impossible to not enjoy the act of eating, assuming the food isn't near inedible like the standard issue military ration bars.
- Cheering people up, for there are few things that Akasha enjoys more than lightening the black clouds of depression that seem to be floating around everyone that is a ninja or related to one.
- Thrills! As a direct result of her therapy Akasha has learned to channel her nervousness into an adrenaline and endorphine rush, sharpening her focus and turning her into something of an adrenaline junky.
Dislikes:
- Ignorant people, or those deliberately ignoring facts in order to not have to change.
- Leeches, they prevent her from going barefoot everywhere!
- Doesn't like it when her hair is messed with, to the point that she has made several techniques that prevent it from getting dirty, wet, or just blown out of its style.
- Those who are not making the proper precautions when it comes to Fūinjutsu, too many promising apprentices have died in accidents resulting from an improper grasp of safety.
- Death, to the degree that she will rather leave an enemy alive and subjugated than dead and gone.
Catch Phrases:
"Cheer up, Cavalry's here."
"Death is only a last resort!"
"Rise and shine, sleepyheads!"
Nindō:
"There's no time like no to make your spirit shine!"
"Be like water, flow quickly and with grace, moving around the obstacles you can escape, smash the obstacles you can't avoid, and erode the obstacles you cannot smash. Be like water, give life when you can, death when you absolutely must."

History:
Akasha does not remember when she was born, but she has been told that she was left at the doorstep to one of the many orphanages in Kirigakure no Sato, a note with the name Akasha attached to the basket in which she lay. This orphanage was actually a completely average orphanage suited for civilians but when the infant eventually grew up to be a toddler full of energy, energy that had to be diverted somewhere Mushka, the matron and a retired shinobi that had tired of the killing, began to give disguised exercises to the young creature, games of tag and hide and seek which stimulated her both mentally and physically. These exercises were not enough and Mushka had to get increasingly creative with her games once the toddler passed grew up into a child. Bright and cheery, young Akasha was almost overly energetic and she would certainly have begun to grate on the nerves of certain orphanage workers had it not been for her kindness. Akasha wouldn't hurt a fly.
Kirigakure no Sato, like many other villages keeps a high number of orphanages to deal with the high mortality rate of shinobi, the average life expectancy for active shinobi being in their low 30's. The clans were left to themselves since nearly all of them were basically born and bred to be shinobi, the civilians were another matter entirely. Life had proven that a purely shinobi village could not function, civilians were needed to function as a lubricant and minor parts in the great clockwork machine that is a ninja village. In Kirigakure no Sato, like in all other ninja villages, this was true and a system had been created to find as many potential ninja as possible. Thus it was that a team of recruiters had come to the orphanage in which Akasha lived despite Mushka's complaints. The elderly matron loved all the children of her orphanage, rendered infertile by one too many close dances with death, and did not want them to live the life she herself had.
Normally Akasha's kind disposition would have ruled her out during the recruiting phase, but to Mushka's dismay the exercises she had employed to keep the nigh hyperactive child in check resulted in a young girl with a surprising aptitude for shinobi work, having already connected to her chakra at the tender age of five. For Akasha the life of a shinobi seemed romantic and exciting, unfortunately this was an illusion that would later be shattered by the harsh reality.
Life in the academy was fun for Akasha. With her peppy behavior and kind nature she charmed her way into a position of universal like, but the ties she had to Mushka and the others at her orphanage (all non-academy students) meant that she never quite fit in with the rest of her class more than superficially. Unconsciously keeping her distance from others she had always had a fondness for all things sharp and shiny, making her teachers keep an extra eye or four on her during any time weapons were to be used. During calligraphy sessions she had always craved that extra input until one day she found one of Mushka's old books in the library, 'Fūinjutsu and You 101: What not to do and how to avoid getting blown up'. It was something Mushka had written, surely she would be proud that Akasha learned from this book as well? And so began Akasha's foray into the arts of sealing, a path that would be with her for the rest of her life.
Mushka had not been pleased that one of her children wanted to become a shinobi, but with Akasha joining the shinobi academy program and excelling in her own way, she could not crush those dreams so easily. This changed when Mushka caught Akasha at the orphanage secretly training fūinjutsu. It might have had something to do with the seal Akasha was trying to write, a simple storage seal. But thanks to Akasha being self-taught this 'simple' seal would have sealed everything within a 3 meter radius into it. This was the first time Akasha had seen Mushka truly angry, making it so that the young girl, 9 years of age, would from that point onwards always pay great respect to the proper safety protocols when it comes to the art of the fūin.
Graduating from the academy in the topmost 20% of her class, Akasha was pulled into a sort of apprenticeship coupled with continued studies, randomized squad selection, and missions. This was a project designed to take in the students who at an early age had shown great promise in rare shinobi arts, then cultivating them and their skills, rounding them and making sure that these assets of the village survive to keep enhancing the village's forces. Moving to a boarding complex with the other students that had been drafted from the various academies in Kirigakure no Sato, Akasha spent her days deepening her understanding of Fūinjutsu, training in Bukijutsu, going on missions under supervision of random Jōnin, and spending her off days visiting and helping Mushka at the orphanage, telling the elderly matron about her life.
This continued for quite a long time, the graduation from the second academy was not based on aptitude alone, but instead differed depending on the field chosen for the genin and the difficulty of said field. Being part of the rare few among the rare few with both an innate passion and capability for Fūinjutsu Akasha spent the four years from her graduation as genin up until her closed exam as a chūnin in this system; studying, sleeping, eating, going on missions, and the rare day off to rest and recharge.
A graduate from the Second Academy, a guaranteed way to make chūnin since only those that already showed the signs of being eligible for the position were accepted, Akasha reached the rank of journeyman ninja at the age of 16. Already prepared for the life of a chūnin; studies, training, missions, and rare days of rest, Akasha adapted quickly and efficiently to the larger amount of both freedom and responsibility. She lived her life as she had for the last few years, the only tragedy being that Mushka finally passed away from old age, the elderly matron dying peacefully in her sleep. After about a year of routine missions with both successes and setbacks things went wrong. Things went very wrong. It was on a mission where the lead chūnin did not take proper precautions. A rumor had been floating around that a gathering of rogue shinobi and bandits used human shields and human bombs as a way to fight against the stronger and more organized ninja hailing from proper villages. The squad of four both lost their leader and had their second in command crippled and comatose when a small group of distraught children turned out to be suicide bombers under the control of the very criminals they were hunting. Suffering from psychological trauma the remaining squad members barely managed to complete their mission, eradicating the academy rejects and bandits who used such despicable methods.
That mission almost broke Akasha and she spent her next three years in therapy, honing her arts of fūinjutsu while simultaneously going through intense counseling to try and deal with her feelings. Until that fateful mission Akasha had not been able to grasp the true scope of evil that humans can fall to. Without Mushka as an anchor Akasha had been adrift but safe due to her unshakable belief in the goodness of humanity. Correction, nigh unshakable. And it had trembled like the lands under an earthquake. Upon finally passing the psych evaluations three years after that mission, Akasha's skills were evaluated and deemed to make her worthy of a promotion to Tokubetsu Jōnin.
A year has passed since then, allowing Akasha to perform more missions and grow as a person with her return to normal life. Eventually the rest of her skills caught up with her advancement in Fūinjutsu, allowing Akasha to reach the rank of jōnin. This was but a few weeks ago and she has been trying to adjust to the new life, having just completed her first mission. She is still a happy person, the kind that would cheer up a stranger asking nothing in return, but she has become more wary since the events of that mission, living her life and preparing, hoping to prevent similar events from ever happening again.

She felt her hand sink into Takashi's yielding, soft body, the warmth of blood and muscles andorgansalloverherhand. "No, no, no, no no nonono," she thought in panic as her hand came out on the other side of the boy's body, having brutally smashed in through the front of the boys torso and clean out the back. "No, Takashi, stay awake," she spoke frantically, dropping to her knees and trying desperately to stem the blood flow from Takashi's wound. But as Takashi uttered his final words the body was already beginning to cool, the blood and guts and bone still on Shun's hands. She brought her hands up as if to cry in them, completely losing her composure, and when the blood and guts still on them registered to her sight she screamed-

Shun felt her hand impact Takashi's ribs as the boy tried to formulate his own counterattack, felt the ribs snapping under the unyielding force of her blow. Her mind was struck down, shut down, as the blow continued, ripping through Takashi's torso out to the other side. She remained in her stance, hand still stretched out as Takashi slid off her arm and to the ground, organs spilling out without Shun there to help hold them in. Shun exploded into motion, crossing the distance between herself and Takashi in a near blink of an eye. A strong and distinct feeling of wrongness swept through her, as if her mind was trying to tell her something, before she stepped in low, sending her right palm in a blow that would certainly stun Takashi via pain if it connected, the liver being quite vulnerable to such attacks. Ribs snapped and were shoved aside as Shun's palm-strike powered its way through the young Uchiha's body, exiting on the other side in a spray of blood. Shun screamed, "TAKASHI!" kneeling down quickly, trying to keep pressure on the boy's wound as to slow the bleeding and keep the organs inside. She turned to Zataku once her mind caught up to the events, "Zataku!" For surely the old heremit could help, he probably had a teleportation technique that could take Takashi to the hosp-

Shun exploded into motion, sending a low stanced right handed palm-strike into Takashi's liver, the strike ripping straight through. Shun quickly retrieved the piece of flesh that she had mnaged to punch out of Takashi's body and tried in vain to put it back.
"There's no use." Shun exploded into motion, sending a low stanced right handed palm-strike into Takashi's liver, the strike ripping straight through.
"What's the point?" Shun exploded into motion, sending a low stanced right handed palm-strike into Takashi's liver, the strike ripping straight through.
Shun exploded into motion, sending a low stanced right handed palm-strike into Takashi's liver, the strike ripping straight through. Shun looked upon Takashi's cooling corpse with a strange sense of detachment.
Shun exploded into motion, sending a low stanced right handed palm-strike into Takashi's liver, the strike ripping straight through. There was something wrong here.
Shun exploded into motion, "Something is wrong, Takashi should be able to dodge this attack, and Shun's palm struck through Takashi's guard, passing through his skin, muscles, breaking bones and shoving them aside, smashing into the liver, and then ripped out on the other side, sending a chunk of Takashi to rest on the ground a few feet away.
Shun exploded into motion, and then she stopped well before reaching Takashi. And then her right palm ripped through Takashi's body. An epiphany.
Shun exploded into motion, focusing on her chakra, willing it to try and stop. She made the hand sign of the ram, "Genjutsu KAI!"
And Shun exploded into motion and then planted her feet, securing them with chakra, before delivering a right palm-thrust aimed at Takashi's liver from a very low reverse cat-stance, liver being the part of his torso closest to Shun thanks to Takashi's Goken taijutsu stance. Takashi dodged, he ducked below her strike. The actual change in this jarred Shun enough that Takashi's leg sweep caught her off guard. Hitting the ground at an awkward angle Shun felt sick to her stomach, the last two and a half minutes of repeats had passed in the blink of an eye but the memories of them were still there. As Takashi's leg was brought up in preparation for the axe-kick Shun used a temporary chakra bond with the ground to roll out of the way, coming to a stop on her hands and knees three meters away, doing what she could to keep her lunch in the confines of her own body, holding up her hand as a sign of pausing towards Takashi.
