I believe this will count for my free medium length katana.
Name: Hakkō Chakura Tō - White Light Chakra Sabre/Corona Chakra Sabre
Type: Bladed
Appearance:In its deactivated form the Hakkō Chakura Tō is nothing more than an ordinary 6 inch handle leading up to a circular guard without special decorations, with a blunt, white glowing tantō blade 9 inches in length. The handle is wrapped in sharkskin to help with gripping it and the color of this sharkskin is yellow. When activated (via its ability) it has three standard forms, each form having the glowing whiteness of the blade in common. The saya for the weapon, sized for its unactivated form, has an interior lining marked with fūinjutsu that allows the blade to be kept in the saya even in an activated mode without damaging neither sheath nor weapon.
The first basic activated form is that of a straight, double-edged tanto with a white blade, the blade being about 10 inches in length and the handle remaining the same as previously mentioned. This makes the blade of the standard length for the normal tantō techniques of the Hakkōryū of Bukijutsu
The second basic activated form is that of a wakizashi. Activating into this form lengthens the handle to 9 inches and the blade to 18 inches, making this blade is of the standard length for the normal wakizashi techniques of the Hakkōryū of Bukijutsu
The third basic form is that of a katana. With a blade length of 27 inches and a handle length of 12 inches this blade is of the standard length for the normal katana techniques of the Hakkōryū of Bukijutsu
Activating the blade allows the user to switch the weapon into any form the user currently know at the cost of a D-rank. Switching from one form to another also costs a D-rank.
Rank: S-rank

Light Blade TrailOwing to the large number of fūin etched into the blade's surface and each layer of the weapon itself combined with the way in which the weapon was forged has turned the Hakkō Chakura Tō into a light absorbing and generating item. The fūin involved in the weapon's construction allows the blade of the weapon to absorb the light that falls on it from any and all sources. Once absorbed it is stored and its wavelength is altered before the ligt is once again emitted which, beyond a glow of white, also charges the air around it in such a way that it leaves a trail of white light behind it, the trail lasting for a post. It leaves this trail of light behind it irregardless of being activated (switched into a form) or not. In game terms this property is only active during the first two posts in a topic that the blade is drawn, to leave a trail of light beyond this the wielder of the weapon has to use a chakra technique through the weapon, something that stimulates the fūinjutsu arrays in the weapon to generate more of the special light.
Because of how this light interacts with chakra, a side effect from the fūinjutsu areays used in the forging process, it is extremely irritating and/or almost harmful to enemy dōjutsu users, causing them to suffer the effects of at first mild headaches that overtime worsens along with the appearance of blurred vision, symptoms that finally develop into severe migraines and very blurred vision coupled with vertigo. This is a result of the light trail weakly interacting with the nature chakra that naturally occurs in all mediums, but this does not allow the wielder of the weapon itself to interact with the nature chakra unless the wielder has a clan/sage mode/curse seal/other technique that allows him/her to do this. This trail of light can gain additional properties when the wielder of the weapon infuses the light with their own chakra, properties that will have to be expanded upon in future techniques but one example would be to make a slash with the weapon while infusing the light trail behind it with chakra via a jutsu, a jutsu that then sends said light trail shooting out as a projectile.
Enemies that have a dōjutsu active, or those currently using a technique that otherwise enhances sight via chakra applied to their eyes/optic nerves (whih can also be seen as a kind of dōjutsu), are those that can be affected by exposure to this light. For ease of writing all those that can be affected will be lumped in under the tag of being dōjutsu users, even if the technique that makes them vulnerable is not a bloodline limit/technique. Enemy dōjutsu users with a dōjutsu that is active when they look at the light emitted by this weapon will suffer several effects depending on their length of exposure due to how the light reacts with chakra, the time being measured in posts made by those exposed:- The exposed victims suffer from a mild headache while looking at the light emitted by this weapon.
- At the start of the second post the victim immediately suffer from a stronger, but still mild, and more noticeable headache along with minor blurred vision, making it difficult to notice fine details beyond five meters.
- The symptoms do not worsen.
- At the start of the fourth post this escalates to a higher level; the headache is now painful enough that it is distracting, the blurred vision is even worse and the victims suffer the onset of mild vertigo.
- The symptoms do not worsen.
- At the start of the sixth post victims will suffer from even more blurred vision and the onset of vertigo powerful enough to distract on its own, which makes the situation even worse because it is coupled with the other symptoms.
- At the start of the seventh post the headache reaches the level of a migraine.
- At the start of eighth post the headache reaches the level of a severe migraine which, coupled with the severe vertigo and blurred vision, causes victims to be violently sick, throwing up if they make movements at speeds beyond a very slow and placid pace.
The above time line assumes that the enemy did not close their eyes or look away or deactivate their dōjutsu. Once a victim is no longer being exposed to the light the symptoms lessen by one stage per post completely without exposure. If someone affected by the light from this weapon deactivates their dōjutsu while still being exposed the effects described is lessened by two stages and will lessen by two additional stages over the next two posts. Should they activate their dōjutsu again while still exposed to the light the recovery will be nulled. The light has no effect upon those who do not have a dōjutsu.
The user can apply a small amount of chakra to the blade of the weapon in order to switch it between its various forms, each having the proper mass and balance expected by a weapon of that size, made by steel. Each form beyond the basic three need to be registered as a D-ranked Fūinjutsu-Bukijutsu technique, and switching to any form (including activating the blade in the first place) costs a D-ranked amount of chakra (this cost can be reduced with a sufficient Bukijutsu CS level as if it was a bukijutsu technique). This is done by taking the light emitted from the blade of this weapon and the properties said light gains when infused with chakra to form the entire weapon into a new weapon, overlaying the old form with a structure of light. This can be done as long as this new weapon form is bladed and has a handle, but if the new form is much larger than the one previously changed to (like going from a dagger to a flamberge/tantō to a katana) the cost of the change increases to that of a C-ranked chakra amount. The activated forms have the very same durability as the normal weapon itself.
Origin:
It began with an idea flashing into existence, then burning brightly enough to etch itself stuck into Akasha's mind. The idea was this: A blade forged out of captured light. The capture point would, of course, be that of a piece of high quality steel etched with layer upon layer of fūinjutsu. Mirrors would be needed, lots of them, all aimed so that the piece of metal would be illuminated across its entire surface area. Magma would also be needed, or something that could simulate the heat. And then an area where she could work without interruption. The first problem could be solved with time, ink, and chakra. The second problem required mirrors, very many lots of mirrors, but that could also be solved, they just needed space. The third problem could be done with her already developed sealing arrays designed for forging. The solution to the fourth problem would also solve part of the second problem, the required space to do this forging would be massive, perhaps a vault?
And so it came to be that one day, when a massive storm battered Mizu no Kuni and, by extension, Kirigakure no Sato, Akasha found herself in a refurbished cave, trying to finish her work before the water broke through the seals and ruined her cave and all the hard work she had gone through. Focusing intently on the three dimensional light construct that floated in the air before her, mimicking the inscribed hunk of steel in the cave before her. The flash of lightning and Akasha smiled to herself, her hands and arms bursting into a flurry of activity, chakra at her finger tips allowing her to interact with the fūin generated hologram image, the array imposing corresponding changes upon the sealed metal in the cave's center. The peal of thunder, and then another flash. The capacitors would be charged soon.
It took six hours of preventing water to from streaming inwhile splitting her attention between the forging process and the temporary continuance of her subterranean light flash forge, to speak nothing of the prior week in which the forge itself had to built and secured, before the blade was ready for the final treatment process. With a flash of light almost as bright as the noon sun, the cave lit aglow, discharging the collected photons and focusing them on the blade shape in its midst. Lost in an infinity of white light, Akasha had smiled. It was a success.
