- Nomi to Tettsuigiri:
Name: Nomi to Tettsuigiri (Chisel and Hammer Cut)
Rank: B-rank
Type: Bukijutsu
Used For: Offensive
Element: N/A
Range: Contact
Duration: Instant
Hand Seals/Charge up: N/A but requires touch to be used.
Description: This slashing technique is different from most in that it requires a hit before it is truly effective, creating a slight groove in the material to be cut by running the weapon along it very slightly, like placing a chisel in its proper position. Then, with a sharp twist of the wrist and arm, extreme force and speed is applied to the weapon, slicing it into the material like a chisel struck by its hammer. The initial groove becomes a weak-point in the target and this technique becomes capable of easily splitting iron and stone provided the weapon used is durable enough. Only the initial connection is needed to perform this technique because once contact is established the rest follows almost instinctively. Using this technique with two weapons makes it almost look like a large pair of scissors is shearing through the target, no matter if it is wood, limb, stone, or even metal of the same or lower quality as that of the weapon this technique is used with. This is all provided that a target of metallic nature is not actively enhanced by chakra being channeled through it, a case in which said chakra must be matched by combining Nomi to Tettsuigiri with techniques such as Hien, Samurai Saber Technique, Chidori Katana, or ones of similar nature (and preferably an advantageous element). If used together with the Hien technique, or similar ones, the range can become truly ridiculous since increasing the length of the sword with chakra by up to a 5 meter range or more lends much greater reach.
Weakness: This technique does not work unless you first establish actual contact with the thing to be cut. The weapon used with this technique must be a bladed weapon.
