Spoiler:

Shinsei ran towards the specific spot that he was supposed to go to in the deserts of Suna. His mission was simple enough, he was to go and check out the place that the villagers had reported on. It seems this specific location had a nine foot scorpion that attacked random villagers.

Shinsei moved quickly as he weaved through the sandy dunes of the Land of Wind. The claim, to Shinsei, was not at all ludicrous. In fact, Shinsei had once seen a scorpion about that size in these very deserts, making the villager's claims true to him. But, of course, Shinsei would first check it out before hunting the creature. The creature might have just been passing and the danger could have passed.

Stopping, he stood still before inhaling. This was a weird place for a Scorpion of that proportion to be housing. The land, itself, was as barren as any other place in the desert. As well, the place had no natural spring or water that the scorpion could drink from. Shinsei immediately started looking around only to yield no results.

With that, Shinsei truend around and started to run once more, this time around the area to fully check the place. He was never the one to be sloppy with his work, and being sure meant that his chance of being wrong became slimmer and slimmer.

Shinsei started to run around the area before spotting a huge outcrop of a hill just beyond the horizon. The hill, being the only safe haven in the desert for a few miles, could be the hiding spot of the said nin foot scorpion that was terrorizing the villagers. With that, Shinsei immediately ran towards the position, hoping to finally see if the scorpion did exist or not.

Stopping at the foot of the large rocky outcrop, Shinsei stood and started to listen to the wind. It was always good to try and see if there are any subtle signs of the beast before trying to climb the rocky slope. Hearing nothing, Shinsei climbed it easily and reached the top, only to shake his head as the said scorpion sat behind the rocky slope, sleeping.

Spoiler:

Shinsei slowly hopped from stone to stone as he tried to see if the scorpion was really asleep. If it was, then it would be an easy kill for him with his medium length katana. If not, then it would be a bit harder, but not by much. This would have been difficult if he had not faced one of these beasts before, but he had.

Shinsei stopped before lowering himself to camouflage his presence from the eyes of the monster, if it was looking. He wasn't sure if the movement he saw was a conscious turn or a sleep turn. He closed his eyes as he tried to remember the weak spot of the Scorpion.

He remembered fighting one when he was on a mission with his Genin Team. It was a long battle since his sensei had left them to scout, but they had managed to kill it. It was a gruesome battle that injured both his teammates and left them incapacitated for a whole week. Shinsei remembered himself grabbing his kunai and stabbing it in the eyes, then forcing it through the creatures brain.

Shinsei immediately perked up by the revelation. The eyes would be the target, and pushing through a blade would do to hit its brain and kill it. But first he had to get close. The closer he gets, the easier to target the eye and land a succesfull hit. He was confident of his aim, but the fact remains that he could get close and the chances of hitting the eyes were much more if he were closer. So, without further ado, he climb down towards the creature, edging closer and closer.

Shinsei went lower and lower, trying to grab onto the rocky surface of the rocky outcrop to try and not fall. It was a gruesome trial, but it Shinsei was not breaking a sweat. He had experienced much harder missions than this C rank mission and if he was breaking a sweat in this mission, then he couldn't call himself a Jounin of Sunagakure.

He lowered himself down and accidentally slipped on a small rock. The rock tumbled down and hit the scorpion in the head, making it grunt and open its eyes. The scropion shook its massive head before thrashing around, making Shinsei loose his grip and jump towards the ground. shinsei survived the jump and focused now on the thrashing scorpion, only for it to stop and look at Shinsei before screeching its mighty screech.

Shinsei stood in a astance before running towards the beast and punching its legs. The creature could only screech before trying to punch a hole through Shinsei with its stinger. Shinsei dodged and weaved successfully through the stinger, showing his mastery in Taijutsu, before landing a blow on the creatures, head.

The scorpion staggered, only for it to be ht once more on the head by Shinsei's fists. Shinsei saw his opportunity and immediately brought out his medium length katana and stabbing the creature through its eye, staright to its brain. The creature screeched loudly before slowly fell. Shinsei jumped and stabed it once more, this time through the roof of its head for good measure.

Shinsei sighed before grabbing an eye and popping it out forcefully with his katana. Then, he grabbed the eye and started to retunr to Sunagakure. Mission acomplished for him.
