Spoiler:

Shinsei sped from roof to roof as he started to reach the place that the suspected target of his seemed to be targetting himself. Since finishing the mission that the old Kage gave him as a long term one, he had been staying in the village more and more, while waiting to be reassigned. It seems that his new Kage had not need of his services and yet, and therefore he was going to wait until she has need of it. Trully, he had missed the life of a shinobi that was always out of the village, but he would make do for now. For now.

As he sped on, he had suddenly realized how it was slowly becoming very relazing for him to stay in the village. His missions, although sometimes taking him out of the village, were mostly confined to the borders of the Land of Wind. Truthfully, he had started to enjoy doing the menial works of seasoned Chuunins and Jounins. The missions he had taken were far easier than what he had been taking under the old Kage. Now, though, his missions seemed to be like menial tasks for him. But it definitely had its perks, for one, he still get paid good money. And two, he was starting to get to know the new Sunagakure under this new Kazekage.

Shinsei shook his head from his musings as he dropped from a roof, down towards a building that held priceless artifacts that were guarded only by normal service men, not enough to stop this thief that seemed to have shinobi skills. He knew that this would be easy for him, but at least he would give the thief a head start, just to be fair.

He sat down just across the building before concealing himself behind a trash can. He would wait, for now. Once the thief comes, then he would follow him.

Shinsei looked at the gate with suspicion, it seems that one of the guards had fallen asleep on duty and the side gate was left unprotected. He knew it would work to his advantage in the end, so he waited. Just past midnight, Shinsei watched a man, dressed in black garbs, sneaking into the side gate. Shinsei already knew that this was the thief so he waited patiently for the man to come out and leave.

A few minutes later, the man came out with a bag filled with items. The man looked left and right before leaping away into the night. Shinsei saw this and leapt after the man, he would lead him to where he had stashed the other good that he had stolen. Then, and only then, would Shinsei dispatch this common thief.

Shinsei arrived at an abandoned warehouse just to the south of Suna. It seems the thief had been smart enough to try and make a nice safehouse for himself. He sighed before walking in. He was going to dispatch this enemy quickly and then maybe grab a shut eye just before breakfast.

The thief had seemingly been surprised, before starting to throw paper bombs at Shinsei, trying to distract him from concentrating on the jutsu that was coming his way. Shinsei saw through everything and let himself be distracted, before leaping away as the wind jutsu of the thief flew past him. Shinsei immediately ran towards the thief and tried getting in a punch to knock out the said man, only for the thief to didge and leap away in time.

Shinsei examined the thief for a moment. It seems that the thief had great speed and high edurance, likes to use paper bombs to distract people, and had an affinity to Wind and possibly another element. He already knew how he was going to approach this and immediately formed a stance.

The thief saw Shinsei's stance and immediately took it as an opening, before he ran towards Shinsei with paper bombs to blow the man up. Shinsei saw through this and said, "You might have good speed, but I have better."

And before the thief knew what was happening, Shinsei disappeared from view before appearing before him and saying, "My speed is of Master Taijutsu!"

Just like that, the thief was blown off from the force that Shinsei exerted in his punch. He watched as the thief groaned from the pain before leaping and sending a kick to his face, breaking a few teeth loose. And with that, Shinsei grabbed the man and hauled him to the authorities.

The next morning, the authorities would find the thief tied up outside of their office with a note attached on his forehead which stated the location of the warehouse where the loot was stashed.
