Stepping out of the room of the inn he would be stepping out of, he was finishing wrapping his forearm in a tight white bandage. His torso was already wrapped pretty tight and this was evident as the only clothing he wore on his torso was his haori that he had to admit, he grew quite fond of. Not many knew that it symbolized his status, so he didn't mind it at all actually. Now with all of his wounds dressed, body, arms, light scratches on the cheeks, he  walked down the steps of the inn into the warmer social atmosphere. With each step the wooden stairs seemed to creak under his weight, not that he was heavy, but the stairs had apparently taken their fair share of wear.

Taking a seat on a bar stool no where in particular, but near some other patrons he started a bit of small talk while he waited on the bartender to get his drink. He wasn't a drinker and he wasn't of age to drink, not like that would stop him, but all he ordered was a simple refreshing glass of lemonade.

Somehow, his conversation had rolled onto the Raikage's of Kumogakure and it seemed the new one was freshly instated. Not to take advantage of a fresh Kage, for Junpei was a fresh ruler too, but this could be Junpei's golden opportunity to make the Hidden Sound relevant in the ninja world.

A plate of hot food sliding in front of him, he smiled, paid the bartender, then parted ways with his acquaintances, and seated himself at one of the tables of the restaurant. "Hm, need utensils . . ." He stood a little pain in his side, but nothing to make him falter as he walked to the counter of the bar.

Retrieving a pair of chopsticks he returned to his table and sat to enjoy his meal, but also to tend to a bit of personal business. Actually . . . to begin some. Taking out a small softback book and a pen, he would write in between bites of his food. To most this book was considered a diary, Junpei could care less what they called it, but to him it was more so to keep his thoughts organized.

~Captain's Log~

I've successfully and safely made it to the Village Hidden by Clouds, Kumogakure. Though they are not present, I am in the company of two others, Nira Feng and Kamina Shurajo. Though he seems harmless at first glance, I have my suspicions about Kamina and his intentions in the village. As of late I feel my standings with the villagers has been getting better and I can't allow this man to ruin my new found trust with the citizens. Though it isn't much, I value what little they've given me.

Nira has left to socialize of explore the village. She seems to have opened up and has been more outgoing lately, I have yet to discover what kind of oddity is in the pit that is her room back in Otogakure . . .

I myself have just returned from a district in Kumogakure known as the "Barracuda's Den". Mi-

He looked up from his writing as one of the bar patrons he was speaking to earlier had approached. Making what room he could at his table for him he allowed the man to sit and tucked his Captain's Log into his haori inner pocket. "Sorry to interrupt your writing or whatever have you, I just had to ask . . . what brings a person like you to Kumogakure." Junpei waved his hand gesturing the interruption was truly no big deal as he would and could finish up later. "I'm just trying exploring the ninja world ya know and decided to make this my first stop." He lied, but his true business was one none of the mans business nor was it information he was willing to relinquish. The mans head bobbed in understanding and he sat silent for a moment. Junpei wasn't rather fond of those types. The ones that lingered without purpose, but he didn't let it show and continued eating. Stealing a glance at the mans hands that were on the table and his torso, not his face for he didn't want to meet eyes, he noticed his body was directed elsewhere. Following this direction, Junpei saw another group of men that would occasionally glance over at him, but give him a smile which he would return. "What the hell do they want?"

"Those your buddies over there?" Junpei inquired with a subtle movement of his head in their direction. "Haha yeah they are, pretty sharp for your age, you can read body language well." Junpei nodded as he chewed his food and gave a smile. Swallowing the bit of noodles he spoke. "Oh, so you guys are ninja as well?" This gave up the fact Junpei was a ninja, but it was no secret, who wasn't nowadays? "Yeah we are, Anbu to be exact . . . we're scouting for another guy to pick up on our cell, last guy fucked around and got himself maimed. You got Anbu Experience?" Junpei chuckled and ironically warmed up to the Anbu ninja. He found comfort in the shady behavior being labeled. "So I'm guessing the turned body was bait for me to pick up on . . . that's a good trick." The man smirked and nodded, it was bait indeed, but not in a negative sense, Junpei had caught it and wasn't harmed for snagging the lure. "But yeah, I do have Anbu experience, need a temporary sub? As he spoke the others on his cell walked over and took the other two seats at the table. Their presence seemed harmless and warm, it was odd to Junpei.

Any other time he'd be digging through his brain for a plan to decapitate all three and flee the scene, but here he was offering them assistance on a mission. Giving and acknowledging nod to the others, his eyes narrowed on the other man. "Yeah that'd great for both ends. Thinking back on your answer to my first question, that was probably just the watered down version and you're probably here to build foreign relations huh? Daimyo of the Sound." Ahhhh yes, the know it all ninja. Junpei got slightly peeved, but it wasn't enough to make him actually act, visually show it, or truly care, just a tiny pluck on his nerves. It wasn't like Junpei was hiding who he was though seeing how he was wearing a haori sporting the kanji for sound on the back. "Of course, I already trust this won't have anything to do with confidential information or village secrets correct?" Junpei didn't want himself getting tied in any village shenanigans that he didn't purposely engage himself in or volunteer to help for. "Of course, nothing but a simple pirate sweep" The Daimyo's head bobbed slowly and he wondered out of the two in attendance who would he bring with him, Nira or Kamina. The wretched choice between one you could trust and one that was skilled and reliable to a degree. Regardless he knew he would choose one to bring along, because going on missions alone with foreign ninja no matter how trustworthy they seemed, was never safe. "Alright cool, I'm gonna bring one of my escorts with me as well. I mean no offense by it, just safety measures I trust you understand." It seemed they didn't take offense and they just nodded and thanked Junpei, before leaving the bar. It seemed they weren't the lingering type and it made him almost feel used in a sense. Get what they want then leave . . . oh well. Withdrawing the literature once more, he continued.

~Captain's Log~

Minor injuries sustained, but I obtained information about a peculiar auction that should be taking place soon. I''m trying to make due of the funds I have with me, though it should be enough, I'm cutting down on spending until after the auction.

Arriving at a bar and after dressing my wounds I came into contact with a few of Kumogakure's Anbu Ninja. I agreed to be a substitute for one of their injured ninja's for an assignment that involves taking out a few pirates. I'm meeting up with them at the pier at [00:00:00] a day from now. I am entitled to one tag along, being either Nira or Kamina, I still haven't chosen who to ask to accompany me, but I feel I will more than likely choose Nira. Not only do i want to get her more actual combat experience in the field, but seeing as my tag along is so I have someone with me I can trust in case I get ambushed by Kumogakure ninja, I should bring the ninja I trust the most. Plus it can't hurt to show off the prowess of some of my villages Genin.

Reading over the writing he was satisfied with what he had, but began to think a bit further on the matter concerning the mission.

. . .

After and episode of thinking, Junpei had created his hidden agenda and was set on the thought. Finishing up his meal he then went to his room in the inn and rested for the day to come.
