Description: Kirigakure forces have reported that merchants are complaining about a band of bandits ravaging throughout Mizu no Kuni and attacking all kinds of merchants each and every day. Your job is to put down these bandits, dead or alive. Preferably alive, giving us the chance to find the bandit's ring leader.
Kouketsu sat in his wooden chair and rested on his well designed table as well. It was a gift from his mother to be exact, he treasured it more than anything else in the room. It held sentimental value and nothing would ever change that. Soon a moderate but confident rap broke the silence.
"Come in please."
An ANBU walked in and knelt before the desk showing great respect towards the Mizukage that now ruled and protected the village. He directed his gaze towards the Mizukage and spoke quickly and without hesitation.
"The locals have reported a band of criminals attacking and even harming merchants out in Mizu no Kuni for valuable goods. Many have been recovered through the black market, but it's a tedious job and requires extensive pay."
"I thought I set up a mission board dealing with this matter?"
"It seems no one has picked it up."
Kouketsu thought on this and sighed deeply. At least he could take time off from his desk. It got a little boring in the room all by himself.
"Very well I'll deal with the matter. You are excused."
With those few words the ANBU vanished in a puff of smoke revealing that the man had come in the form of a clone. He must have had more pressing matters at hand. Kouketsu got up from his extravagant chair and moved towards the window, opening it up with one swift motion. He jumped onto the ledger and closed it behind himself. He liked taking the short way down to the bridge. He leaped across buildings until he reached the ground. He then sprinted to the bridge and stopped for a moment and then continued onward. He would jump tree to tree calculating each jump once he made it to the forests of Mizu no Kuni. He would continue until he heard some voices. A wagon was moving along with what seemed to be two merchants on the outside seat. They were using a horse to pull the huge wagon, most likely stored with valuable goods.
Kouketsu would follow the lead of the wagon for quite a ways. It seemed nothing would be happening to this merchandise so Kouketsu continued onwards in his journey. He would double back towards the village of Kirigakure. He would make sure that he didn't miss any more exported goods from Kirigakure. Once he got back to the village he ventured out again, this time taking a more thorough look for the bandits and a unlucky victim. The Mizukage felt that since he was just taking on Genin equivalent bandits, he wouldn't use his Sharingan. It would be too much of an overkill. Then they would fear the Crimson Eye of Kirigakure. No, he wouldn't let that happen. Even more so, they'd be too afraid to say anything, their mouths would be sealed off forever. Stunned senseless by the sudden act of violence. No sooner than he had finished that thought, a group of men's voices could be distinctly heard. Something about handing over a shipment.
Kouketsu immediately altered his course and bounded towards the voices, now beginning to become a lot clearer. It seemed the young Mizukage was correct in his assumption. There were six men in total, five were harassing a merchant who was also one of the six men. It seemed the merchant was refusing to hand over the village possessions. A bandit drew close and pulled out a kunai. That was all Kouketsu needed to see. Kouketsu jumped from the tree above the man who now lunged at the merchant flinching back in fear. In mid-air Kouketsu pulled his own kunai from a pouch and plunged it in the man's back as he fell on top of him. Kouketsu got up brushing the dirt off his armor and turned to the other five. He had now activated his unmastered three tomoe Sharingan. It gleaned, even in the day, with a red hue. The bandits stammered a bit and then let out a howl of fear and dashed away. Well one was dead, that would be suffice in the mean time for information and as a warning to the bandits. He protected another villager and accompanied him to his destination and back to Kirigakure for protection and company. As soon as he got home he went to his own home and collected the Ryo originally for any other who would take the mission.
It was a disappointment that no one else accompanied him and the merchant on both his mission and their chat. It was quite fun besides the shock of almost dying. It seemed being in the presence of the Mizukage helped that a bit.
