Description: With this technique, users replace their own body with some other object, generally with a block of wood, the moment an attack lands. This creates an optical illusion, making the enemy think the attack was successful. From this, the user can use the lapse in the enemy's attention to attack or flee from the battlefield. Explosive tags can be attached to the replacement for an added surprise. It's a basic ninjutsu even taught at the Academy, but it's a useful art that can be applied in variety of situations.

Description: A ninjutsu that creates an intangible copy of one's own body, without any substance. Since the clone itself doesn't have the ability to attack, and thus can only be used to confuse the enemy, it is mainly used in combination with other ninjutsu. It's a basic technique, but depending on one's ingenuity, it can be used effectively. The clones may not dissipate when they come into contact with something.
These clones can be easily distinguished by persons with dōjutsu. A person with normal eyes can also distinguish the clones from the original, since the clones do not have shadows and will not disrupt the area around themselves with their movement (i.e. won't kick up dust, crush grass, etc.).

Description: Given all the missions ninja are assigned to - battle, intelligence gathering, diversions - this is a priceless ninjutsu. It is typically used to change into people other than oneself, but one also has the ability to change into animals, plants, and even inanimate objects like weapons. This gives this technique an abundance of uses. The transformation of a skilled shinobi will be exactly like the genuine article, so it will be impossible to tell the two apart. On the other hand, a transformation performed by an inexperienced person will have obvious discrepancies. It will be impossible to deceive anyone with it. This is one of the most basic ninjutsu, as such most shinobi know how to perform it.
The transformation technique is considered to be among the more difficult E-ranked techniques, since it requires constant emission of chakra while mentally maintaining the form. On top of that, the user would be, most likely, interacting with the environment. This puts mental strain on an inexperienced ninja. Thus the best way to determine if it is indeed a transformation is to cause this strain upon the user; though this is of course not always successful.

Description: The Body Flicker Technique is a high-speed movement technique, allowing a ninja to move short to long distances at an almost untraceable speed. It is accomplished by using chakra to temporarily vitalise the body and move at extreme speeds. The balls is thrown at the enemy and will explode when the user wills it. The name is derived from when the balls exploded it will give off an explosion in the form of a butterfly. The radius of explosion is 10 meter for all marbles meaning each marbles give off an explosion of 2 meter radius each.
Weakness: Can be counter with earth, fire techniques. Not suitable to be used in confined space as the user's allies can get caught in the explosion.

Description:This displacement technique is a speciality of the ninja from Kirigakure, where one causes a mist to spring forth by lifting up some water from either a pre-existing source or expelled from their mouth,then goes in and out of sight at will from within the pearly-white realm. The mist's thickness is controlled by the amount of chakra kneaded into it. It can't fool the Byakugan, but, due to the mist being created with the user's chakra, any Sharingan and Rinnegan-user will see the mist coloured by their opponent's chakra, which will effectively hide the user from the dōjutsu.

It was shown that this technique is usable even in water as shallow as a puddle, as seen when the Demon Brothers used it to ambush Tazuna and his bodyguards. In the anime, a member of the Nokizaru Group also employed this technique during a mission to retrieve a scroll from Kumogakure shinobi. While leaving concealment, water simply appeared on the floor and rose up, revealing the user.

Like other clone techniques, if the water clones are injured enough they will revert back to normal water.

Description:This technique is used to trap a victim inside a virtually inescapable sphere of water. The only downside to this technique is that the user must keep at least one arm inside the sphere at all times in order for the victim to remain imprisoned. This technique requires a sufficient amount of water, which can be provided by expelling it from one's mouth. Once trapped the target is unable to move or breathe while within it due to the heaviness of the water. Because of the density of the water it can be used, to a limited extent, for defensive purposes if performed on oneself. It can also be stored in scrolls as traps.
Water clones can be used in preparation for the technique, which block an opponent's attack and trap the attacker in the prison using the clone's own water. Neji Hyūga was able to use his ability to release chakra from all of his tenketsu simultaneously to disrupt the flow of chakra and break the prison.

The chakra surround the user hand with blue chakra and the user's element affinity can also be used with into the attack to boost the attack in cost of using more chakra by 5 chakra for each post the element is sustained. The jutsu if imbued with its user's element will only increase its strength by 0.5 in rank . The effect of elements imbued to the chakra is as followed:
-Fire causes 1 degree burn
-Wind causes shredding damage in the area hit
-Electric causes minor shock and static damage
-Earth causes deeper and wider cut
-Water causes the numbing/ paralyzed on area hit
Weakness: Not for long range, cost more chakra if used with element affinity.

The normal scope of this technique is normally just a few metres, but if prepared, it is also possible to make an entire pond of starch syrup. Haku is able to perform this jutsu with one-handed seals, allowing him to pin an opponent's arm and attack while they cannot use any techniques themselves.

The amount of water created is proportional to the amount of chakra used; when used with Kisame's enormous chakra, even a dry wasteland can become a small ocean. Afterwards, the excess water can be used for additional Water Release techniques.
In the anime, Nagato seemingly used this through the Deva Path by punching the ground causing water to gush out of the ground instead of spitting it out of his mouth.

In the anime, these sharks can regenerate from surrounding water, making them difficult to destroy.

Weakness: Can be block with A rank jutsu of Earth element. Water defensive jutsu can also slower the velocity causing less damage by one rank.
