Looks Description: Takeshi has very close cut white hair and deep green eyes that shine from behind his Anbu mask. His mask has intricate patterns of red paint that show the form of a bird, specifically, a hawk. The mask even has a small protrusion in front of his nose, signaling the beak. Takeshi shows no real form of personalization in his outfit, besides the gold ring he has in each ear. All he wears is the standard body armor and outfit of the Anbu. On certain missions, he will wear a cloak over his armor that covers most of his body and face. Across takeshi's back is a pair of shortswords, held by black sheaths. On a day off, or any casual time, he wears a simple pair of black pants, and a white long sleeve shirt.
Takeshi has a slender body, with smaller, more compact muscle structure. His shoulders are broad, and his arms have a very fine muscle tone. He has a strong jaw line, but otherwise, his facial features are less pronounced.
Personality Description: Takeshi is relatively mild mannered, someone almost always calm and collected. More often than not, he'll be quietly observing and assessing the situation at hand. Around friends, family, or anyone close to him, he'll talk a bit more, but is still more on the quiet side. He strives to prove himself to those he respects and admires, and as such, works diligently at whatever task is given to him. However, he isn't a perfectionist by any means. Whenever Takeshi feels as though his abilities aren't being tested, he becomes extremely lackadaisical. This flaw tends to lead him into trouble when certain tasks are given to him. Takeshi is very respectful to those around him, whether they're over his rank, or beneath it. Political motivations are practically nonexistent to him. He could care less who gets promoted, who gains what, or so on so forth, Takeshi cares about getting his job done, and getting it done right.
While he stays cool in most situations, Takeshi isn't without emotion. As someone who has been extremely hard working, and rarely takes breaks, he has a tendency to get emotions out on the battlefield. In terms of battle prowess, this is both a strength and weakness. Takeshi is prone to fits of rage in the heat of battle if he has been under stress before the fight. He doesn't lose control, but he does get sloppy, and isn't as collected as he normally would be.
Takeshi holds honor as one of the highest characteristics a person can have. His family name, personal honor, his unending loyalty to his village, and the public's opinion of him are all things he holds very dear, and could be known to start fights for.
Likes: Quiet, studying, practicing, family
Dislikes: Crowds, loud people, ignorance, dishonorable actions
Catch Phrases: ”...” (His silence)
Nindo: Fight for honor, and personal betterment.
Element Affinity: Water
Sub Element Affinity: Electricity
History: Takeshi had a good early life. He, his dad, and his little sister lived in a little home inside the village. He never knew his mother, she left when he was too little to remember her, but he was always fine without her. His dad never told him why she left, but Takeshi didn't really mind, his dad was all he needed for a parent. Because it was just the three of them, they all became much closer than most people get to family at a young age. They all looked out for each other, and they all had respect for one another. Takeshi especially cared for his sister, whom he was always protective of.
The three of them lived a very quiet life, Takeshi's dad working a shop during the day, while he and his sister were at school. Takeshi and Yuko, his younger sister by four years, were very good students, bringing home excellent grades, never missing school, and being very attentive in class. However, when Takeshi reached the age of 11, he decided that he wanted to join the ninja academy, and train to become a shinobi. He never really wanted to become a merchant, or a regular worker, so he found this to be the best alternative. When he entered the academy, he found it to be extremely difficult. The classes weren't simple arithmetic and writing, now they had physical training, tactical training, and lessons over chakra and its uses. Though the work was hard, Takeshi loved it. He was thrilled to be challenged like he was, and found the lessons to be far more interesting and complex than what he learned previously.
Takeshi graduated from the academy after two years, and achieved the rank of Genin. He scored extremely well in the sensory area as well as taijutsu. When assigned to a squad, Takeshi was put in a group with a Jounin by the name of Shuya and another Genin, named Yusuke. The three of them grew to be very close in their time together, spanning 3 years. During their time as a squad, Shuya imparted a lot of knowledge and wisdom on Takeshi. He learned the value of teamwork, confidence, and he grew to be a much better shinobi because of these lessons. Their squad was highly efficient, and completed a very large number of missions, failing only a select few. Over the years, Takeshi and Yusuke became much stronger, and dared to take on harder and harder missions.
This confidence was their downfall. Takeshi and Yusuke had spent weeks pestering Shuya for a harder assignment, hoping to test themselves, and prove their worth. Eventually, their prodding worked, and Shuya got them a mission that would require more skill than their previous missions. Their assignment was to put an end to a gang of highwaymen who were enforcing their own “toll” to cross a certain section of road a few miles away from the village. When they got to the area owned by the gang, they were met by 4 men holding a number of weapons. Shuya told them that the village was ordering the immediate stop of their robbery, and to move out of the area now before the village had to force them. Being the honorable, reasonable men they were, they didn't listen. They attacked the shinobi, starting a bloody battle that would end in tragedy. The men focused their attacks on the two Genin, hoping to finish them off quickly, then deal with their sensei. Their plan came to no fruition as the three shinobi fought together to protect each other from all sides. Takeshi and the others quickly gained the advantage, using their formal training and experience to overpower the street thugs.
What they didn't expect was the reinforcements. Just before the shinobi could end the fight, thugs with a myriad of different weapons came pouring out of the woods just behind them. The three of them fought hard, needing every bit of their strength, cunning, and skill. But the sheer numbers of the gang were too much. As more and more men piled onto them, they took the shinobi out of formation, putting space between Yusuke and the others. He never stood a chance once he was separated. In mere moments, Yusuke was dead.
The rest of the battle was long and hard-fought. Takeshi broke an arm, received multiple deep cuts, and got a concussion. Even so, he and Shuya eventually won. Takeshi and Shuya retrieved Yusuke's body and brought him back to the village. Takeshi swore on that day, he would never again let a friend die under his watch, even it meant his own life.
Takeshi was honored when he returned to the village, he was promoted to the rank of Chuunin. He dedicated the promotion to his fallen friend, and pledged to further himself in the name of the village. As a Chuunin, Takeshi spent much of his time training, and pushing his abilities to their limits. When he was satisfied with the power he had gained, he dedicated himself to knocking out missions on a consistent basis. Because of his persistence and hard work, he was promoted to a Jounin after only a year.
Another year was spent still doing everything he could for his village, completing missions, earning the village money, and making himself stronger. He was amazed at how fast he improved now, constantly learning new strategies, techniques, and improving his already known abilities. Takeshi really hit his stride as a Jounin, now being able to do as he pleased, and being able to make decisions for groups of people. Takeshi was even placed in a division of shinobi that did reconnaissance and other high importance missions. The squad eventually was put on a very important mission. Their task was to infiltrate a small town on the outskirts of the country. The town had suddenly gone quiet a few weeks after news was spread that a group of samurai had taken over. Their squad needed to find out why the town had ceased communicating with the village, and take out this group of samurai.
When Takeshi's squad reached their destination, what they found was worse then they could have imagined. Just outside the town, a mountain of bodies lay rotting in a mass grave. They very quickly discovered that anyone who refused to join the band of samurai was then slaughtered. Being a town of farmers and merchants, only a select few joined. The rest perished, not even the women or children were spared.
Takeshi and the other shinobi were outraged by what they found, so they charged in and found the culprits in a very short time. The samurai stood no chance against the furious ninja. When the murderers had been wiped out, Takeshi's squad reported their findings and their success, and they were well rewarded. As everyone was leaving the Mizukage's office, Takeshi was told to wait. The Mizukage told Takeshi that his efforts were very clearly visible, and that people were noticing his performance. He was told that an elite group of shinobi called the Anbu Black Ops needed more members, and that Takeshi could join them if he so pleased. He immediately agreed to accept the honor.
Just shortly after his 19th birthday, he was an official member of the Anbu. Takeshi couldn't wait to see what he could learn from them, and what adventures they would have in store for him.
RP Sample: Takeshi dashed through the dense forest, moving quickly but silently. His agile footsteps barely shook the limbs of the trees he was bounding across. The night was cold, but not bitterly so. He loved the nights like these, where the nip of the cold is just enough to keep you aware of nature's presence, but not enough to reduce you to shivering. His eyes shifted around, scanning the area ahead of and behind him, making sure there was nobody watching or tailing him. He couldn't risk being found, not tonight. This mission demanded his absolute best, his full attention, he couldn't afford any mistakes tonight.
As the wind whipped past him, he broodingly thought of his plan. He wasn't entirely sure of himself on this one. He was to infiltrate the village hidden in the clouds, and steal a document concerning their current plans and goings on. The night was to be his only cover, and he had to sneak in unnoticed, retrieve his target, and get out, all without being discovered. If he couldn't fulfill that, he would have to escape the entire force of the village. Above all of this, he couldn't give away his village. Nobody could know who he was, or where he was from.
A sudden prickle in his mind made his movements immediately halt. He could feel the presence of chakra somewhere nearby. Judging by the strength and fluctuations of it, it seemed to be a Jounin out on patrol. Takeshi stood still, closed his eyes, and focused on this source of chakra, hoping to pinpoint its location, if it were farther away, he could hopefully avoid it entirely. As he tried to figure out its location, he heard a slight whistle drawing closer. He opened his eyes to see a pair of shuriken hurtling towards him. He barely managed to avoid them hitting him square in the chest.
His eyes began frantically scanning the forest in front of him, searching for the owner of the shuriken. He found his target as two more shuriken were launched from behind a branch up and to his right. Before they could even get close, Takeshi jumped from his branch and began dashing toward his mystery opponent. As he got closer, a man jumped out from behind his cover, swinging his leg in a horizontal kick, aimed at Takeshi's head. Takeshi reacted quickly, letting himself fall from the branch he was standing on, and grabbing it before he plummeted to the ground. Swinging himself upward, he he flipped himself back on top of the branch, coming face to face with his opponent on the branch next to him.
The man was dressed in the typical outfit of a Jounin, merely dawning a vest of the rank. Wihtout exchanging words, Takeshi jumped towards his target, pulling a thin piece of wire out of his leg holster. As he got close to the enemy shinobi, he threw a punch that he knew would be dodged. As expected, the enemy ninja simply cocked his head to the side to dodge the blow. Bunching all his muscles, Takeshi moved as fast as he could and maneuvered himself behind his opponent, slinging the wire across the enemy's neck. Gripping it on both sides, he began to pull, thereby strangling the man. As the last bit of air was forced out of his lungs, the enemy shinbo fell to the ground, dead.
Takeshi let out a sigh and scanned the area for any chakra signatures, when he found none, he decided to continue moving. I need to finish this mission fast. He thought to himself before dashing to the next branch.
(Ending that on a cliffhanger because I hope to continue that story in the future.)
