”Okay screw this, let’s go in,” said Ary as her fingers cracked under the mere pressure of making her hands into fists. Her group of two other Anbu and her had been sitting in the same spot for over two hours. ”Easy,” said one of the Anbu by her, placing his hand over her shoulder just to be pushed off by her, ”You know the plan.” Yea, she knew the plan; she knew it all too well. Their team had been sent off in a mission of rather high priority. From the looks of it, it appeared like some settlements not far off from the village had been a little more rowdy than usual. It wasn’t just the usual civilian discontent with those of power though. This time, it was more. Rumor and intel had it as if some missing ninja from other villages had been hired to instruct and lead the potential rebellious citizens. Attempting to sabotage several places of importance, the trouble was a threat that needed to be dealt with. However, seeing how delicate the situation was and the fact it was their own citizens, the village just could not afford to send their chunin and jounin to do the work. It had to be done quick and right, and there was no one better for that job than the Anbu.
That wasn’t the big problem for Ary though. Had that been it, everything would have been bliss as dispatching the several enemies who were not even at Genin level was rather simply. Heck, even the missing ninja that had been hired to lead them were at Chunin level at best. Things were definitely in their favor. But of course, the mission made it so that their job was purposely made that much more difficult. The team was to eliminate the specialized missing ninja that were hired but avoid killing any citizens at all costs. In other words, they were to go in, assassinate the foreign threat, and leave without being noticed in the first place and appear as if they were never even there to begin with. Ary had no idea as to the reasoning of said mission, but she didn’t give a hoot anyways. After all, it was not her job to care; her job was to do as she was told, and do it right. Still, it kind of pissed her off that they had made their tasks that much more troublesome… not that she would have said anything though. The hell if she would.
In any case, the team had been chosen rather carefully. It was two male Anbus about the same age as Ary, and herself. All three of them were rather quick on their feet and displayed great reflexes as that would surely come in handy. One of the guys was an expert in all that revolved around hand to hand combat while the other was more adept at the use of genjutsu and ninjutsu. Ary, though rounded off in a slightly different way, was primarily chosen for a different reason. While she could definitely fight if she needed to, she was there to use her Byakugan to provide needed intel on the battle and the scene like she had been doing for the past eternity she felt they had sat there.
Fuck this is boring, she thought to herself as she curled all her fingers in unison every other minute, the cracking sound being made coming off as rather inaudible but still easily felt for her. As expected, she wore the standard Anbu uniform as did her two companions. Even in an outfit such as that her breasts were rather emphasized but she had already come to the realization that, with a body like hers, her breasts, her thigh, and her ass would always be emphasized no matter what kind of clothing she chose to wear. ”Okay, let’s roll said one of her man much to Ary’s excitement. With a nod to her head, the two men by her took off. They had been surveying the area before them for hours to find the best time. It seemed like the hired missing ninja were on a certain area, with the rest of the citizens and fodder taking up guard at different routines. It definitely made things more difficult, but they could exploit whatever weakness were left for them. After all, Ary and her men were some of the most elite Anbu of her village.
And so, in a matter of seconds, her team mates had knocked out without hurting, what little citizens were still awake keeping guard at that time of the night. Purposely, Ary had chosen to stay behind. Even before arriving, the three of them had decided on their course of action and strategy. The two of them would lead on the attack while Ary would be the last line of combat. Should anything go astray, she was to inform them of any impending dangers. But more importantly, if any of the missing ninjas escaped her men, she was to ensure they did not make it past her and fled. In any case, with her Byakugan, she could see how her men pretty much came through without being noticed and slaughtered their targets before signaling they had been done and would make their way back. However, on the corner of her eye, in the distance, she caught the sight of a last missing ninja straggler, likely one just the slightest bit stronger than a Chunnin that must have somehow sensed them and attempted an escape.
Dropping a fake explosive tag where she had once stood, it would serve as an indication of what she had left to do. In every combat or stealthy situation, the Anbu had devised countless of ways of communicating without truly saying any words. Furthermore, within specific teams, the members usually discussed signs and symbols to use in case of certain situations. Her action just before taking off would thus alert her team mates that she was off in pursue of a straggler to avoid any unrelated thoughts that could otherwise jeopardize the mission.
As she jumped from branch to branch, she had gotten far enough from the mission zone to the point where staying hidden was no longer necessary since no one else could see her but that whom she was tracking. Possibly trusting her, her team mates would have either gone on to the rondevu point, or trailed close enough to her to grant her space for her own kill while not neglecting the potential need for help, however unlikely it might have been. But, being easily much stronger than the prey she trailed, Ary managed to catch up with the scum rather quickly. As soon as she was seen no more than five or so meters behind him, the ninja threw about three or four kunai and shuriken. It was possibly all he had stored in his bag in terms of weapons, or at the very least, a good amount of them.
Seeing the attack, Ary dodged, kicking on a trunk of a tree before leaping to another, using the momentum and the distance to come down on her straggler, dropkicking him by the back of his shoulders. With a loud thump, the ninja had fallen a good few meters onto the ground, or rather, the grass. The area was pretty much in total and pitch black darkness. The only traces of light were the extremely dim light projected by the moon and the subtle reflection of Ary’s eyes. As such, it was pretty much impossible for her prey to see Ary by sight. Given her abilities though, she could see him quite well. While she loved to play from time to time, it seemed as such the waiting had made her eager for something else.
As soon as the man had fallen, he had held the back of his head in pain as the fall likely caused an inevitable strike with the ground beneath him. No head pain would be allowed to be felt though. Before his body could truly register the head pain, he would be forced to endure something much more painful. In an instant, two kunais were thrown from the pitch black darkness with such force that they dug into each of his thighs so deep that only the loop for the finger was somewhat visible. If it wasn’t clear to her teammates that she had everything under control, the loud screams of pain from the man should have been enough. As such, had they not done so before, her team was likely already heading for the rondevu point to wait for her. Given the distance they had traveled though, Ary cared very little for the scream as it would no longer be heard to anyone that did not need to hear it. In extreme pain, the man had thrown everything else he had in terms of shuriken and kunai into the darkness hoping to hit his assailant. However, with a grin, Ary waited behind a tree unharmed. It was then that she decided to play with him some.
Bending down amidst the pitch black darkness, she would toss a couple rocks on different directions to alarm and play with the enemies mind. After that, she would literally just lean against the tree she was at, knowing damn well she could not be seen. Her prey must have known she had not left and as such, the fact that she was playing with him seemed extremely amusing to her, however sick might have been to him. Once growing tired of the whole thing though, she finally threw a couple shuriken that hit each of his shoulders as they sunk all the way in, making the extraction nigh impossible. And so, seeing as he had no more weapons left and no strength to fight given the fact that all his limbs had been compromised, Ary, kunai in hand, walked towards her prey, not caring to let the leaves beneath her feet crunch under her steps.
Crouching down, she got close enough to his face to the point that, given the proximity, the dim light of the moon and the reflection of her eyes, the guy could have seen the red and white mask she wore as an Anbu cover. Having her mask spit on by her prey, she could not help but laugh as that was pretty much all he could do. Still, punching his balls as hard as she could for daring to do such thing, she removed her mask to display her rather beautiful face and a rather grievous smile. ”Time to sleep,” she said before she swiped the spit off of her mask, and covering the ninja’s mouth with the same hand, she used the kunai in her other hand to drive it into his chest as deep as it went before twisting it around some until his death. And so, with a smile of pity and almost a kissy like face, she cleaned off the kunai with the fallen ninja’s clothes before retrieving it into her bag. Placing the mask back on her face, she sped off to meet her teammates at the rondevu point.
Just a couple minutes after, she had arrived. Yes, she was in a hurry. She had wasted enough time on the mission, and she kind of wanted to go back home. Upon seeing her team, none would speak a word. They knew they had all done their job. Each of them had managed to perform flawlessly and kill at least one of the targets themselves. Instead, one of them would just bob his head as if he was asking a question, as Ary and the other guy bobbed theirs in response. With that, the three of them hurried back to the village, and upon entering, one of them would be off to report the results of the mission as the others went home. Not wanting to waste anymore time, Ary was definitely one of the ones going home. After saying goodbye to her teammates, she headed off.
That night, she had dropped herself into bed without thought of anything else. She didn’t feel particularly tired but she felt like she wanted to sleep for some reason. It was late into the night. The hell if she knew what time it was but full moon was definitely up and it looked a lot brighter as it was just the slightest bit of sufficient dim light filtering through the half opened window. With such a nice view, Ary had decided to open the window just enough to allow some moon light to filter in without being completely open. And, finally removing her mask, she placed it over one of the desks. She felt so lazy at the moment she had not even bothered to change out of her Anbu uniform. She probably intended to sleep in that outfit. While she imagined that most were indeed asleep at these hours, there were good chances that a few were awake. Not like she would go anywhere though. Hell no. If nothing interesting happened in the next few minutes, she would likely just wind up going to bed just like she was.
