She awoken that day like anyother, her younger brother jumping on her bed yelling at her in excitement. She groaned as she sat up dizzily then watched him settle down then as she finally was able to blink awake and hear him she sighed out then smiled. She couldn't hate her brother, no matter how out of line he acted, even if he was the most annoying person ever she still couldn't find it in herself to hate him or even dislike him. She took a long yawn with her arms outstretched before rubbing her eyes a bit and speaking to him. "So what's the news today? Another marriage or maybe a strong shinobi visiting the village?" She joked as she asked what today's reason to be excited was.
It was then that she noticed her mother and father peeking from the doorway in an excited motion. It was just barely cracked enough for her to see the candle light of a cake and she smiled. She knew what today was however she gave the offer to her brother to say it, over and over. Oh boy did he, in the loudest manner he could. She turned her head to her parents coming in. Her father holding the cake and her mother clasping her hands in a cheerful manner. She watched them give out such a happy tone as she smiled up at them. Her brother climbing her father's shoulders as her mother helped him up. As soon as the cake neared her she smiled at it's glow then blew out the candles, looking up to her parents who cheered for her and sang to her.
She finally got out of bed after they cheered and as soon as she did her mother pushed her brother and father out of her room. After all Hitomi needed to get dressed and ready for today. Just before her mother left she gave her a present box then rushed out in a gleeful manner to join the other two. Hitomi looked at the box for a while then untied the ribbon ontop of it. What she found was a dress in the box and a note on it. She read it to find out it was from her cousin Kasai. "Dear little Hito, so you're growing up again and unfortunately I missed it. But to make it up if I can I found this, it's a beautiful dress, it might be a bit big because I don't know your size but I also put in some money, go spend it however you like." -Kasai
She immediately got to pulling out the outfit. She was right on how it was a bit oversized, but she'd keep it still because it was from her. She got it on as fast as she could and it drooped down, if she was just a little bit taller then maybe it wouldn't look so over fluffed with air. With that she took it off and hung it up with the note attached to it then got the money from the box. She seemed excited from this as she changed into another outfit and stuffed it into her pocket along with the other money she had saved up. She didn't know what she wanted from it but was just happy enough to have gotten it in the first place. With that she noticed the cake was destroyed by her little brother whom had the biggest sugar craving since the gingerbread man. She laughed at the cake stained on his face as her mother begun to clean it off. Her father however placed a hand onto her shoulder in a proud manner. Looking at her with a smile of ease then knelled to her.
"You're just getting closer and closer to being an adult, you're already a shinobi but just remember to come home everyday. You're still my little girl after all." He patted her head then sent her off outside. There's no way anyone could feel more proud and cherished than she felt at this moment. It was just a great feeling as she walked outside. She decided today she'd just play around with her jutsu, not so much training but messing around with it while she waited on her brother to get over his sugar crash. Perhaps someone would come by, she felt like today she really wouldn't mind, her mood was just too good.
