Team Kirigakure

The peaceful sound of water lapping against something solid echoed clearly into the chamber that the eight year old and nineteen year old Kiri genin.  One being able to figure out the trick behind the lever rather quickly.  Hint it was the eight year old.  The villagers and shinobi in Kirigakure were probably having a field day with that little fact.  The person to figure it out the fastest in the entire CE was the eight year old genin.  Fun times indeed.

"Congratulations young Genin.  You have passed the first part of the exam and will advance to the next part.  If you are verse in your history you should know that the Chunin Exam was once held in the Forest of Death in Konohagakure to make sure all the genin who capable of performing their shinobi duties.  Think of this test to be significantly harder than that.  There is a high likelihood you will fail and possibly die.  Please take that into consideration as you make your move.  Please proceed through the tunnel to begin.  You have five minutes until we drop the floor.  You have one week to get to the end.  There is another squad in this part of the cavern.  It is up to you whether you assist each other or fight each other.  Remember time is limited."

After the voice stopped speaking, the two genin would notice that the water sounds had gotten loud but slower.  As if the water was slowing down.  If they were to look at or venture into the passage they will notice that it had completely smooth walls apparently made from the same material as the walls.  A simple tapping of the walls would prove as much, send the force of the tapping back through the hand of the one doing the tapping.  The floor however was more like granite than the dirty, smelly floor of the room.

The only sound the other two Kiri Genin heard was the sound of their breathing.  It was eerily quiet within the room.  Once they crawled through the hole in the door the only thing they could hear was the sound of their breathing and rocks falling down the steep tunnel.  The air was almost as moist as the tunnel walls were.  Of course the silence was soon to be disturbed by a single sound.

Click.

Then the door they crossed through would slowly swing open.

"Hey," a voice would suddenly say, hopefully startling the two genin.  "Greetings.  I am the proctor for this exam.  You are to proceed through this cavern, find the statues, and get to the end of the test in two weeks time.  Better hurry."

As soon as the voice stopped speaking, the floor in the first exam room began dropping away.  Furthest away from the hidden door until the entire floor was gone, dinging off the sides of the tunnel until there was no sound left.  All that was left for the Genin to do was travel down the tunnel and hope they didn't get an STD or Tetanus or something.

Zevas would crawl through the hole the two had made, breathing in the fresh air as his head pounded from the lack of oxygen. His breathing was heavy as his lungs gulped in the fresh air. The only thing that bothered him was the moisture in the air, causing his lungs to struggle to seperate the oxygen and send it into his blood. There was a click as the door behind them opened, and a disembodied voice came through, talking about their next task. Zevas heard the floor from the room fall away, and looked back at the dark tunnel. He sighed as he knew that they only had one direction to move. Zevas looked down  the tunnel, his vision still showing blue. There seemed to be no hidden crevices or any other traps, but the walls here thick and he couldnt tell if anything was coming. Zevas focused a small amount of chakra into his eye, switching his vision over again, this time giving everything a green hue in his left eye. The tunnel lit up, allowing him to see everything as if the sun was covered with a green lens. Zevas would relay everything he saw to his partner as he pushed forward.

Toshizōu let out a slight with seeing that the shaking had stopped momentarily. As soon as that was over something else came up, an announcer spoke saying that the rest was just as dangerous as the riddles. They could either fight the team that was also in the cave or work together. The announcer told them the specifics and then off he went. HAH! Fuck that. He obtained a slight temper from the thought of having to go through yet another traumatic event in his life but immediately brushed it off for the moment.

He had an 8 year old and needed to try to compose himself, plus there was the simple fact that there was another team either with them or against them and time was a ticking. They had to leave the room before the floor fell and find a door in a week. How charming.

"Time to go little one. I don't feel like dying anytime soon, and I'm going to guess you don't want to either. Nice job saving our asses too. I'm glad I have such a smart girl on my team."

Toshizōu motioned for her to follow and he entered the tunnel that the door revealed. All he could he was the slow rhythmic sound of the waves and he was beginning to become cautious. He didn't want to immediately drown right after risking his life. That would be such a shame. Toshizōu carefully picked his steps but made sure he wasn't being slow. He didn't want the audience getting restless and have them end up sending something to speed them up. Toshizōu once again spoke to the young girl.

"The announcer said there's another team already here. I prefer to be on good terms with them. I'd rather not spend much needed energy on fighting a team that could potentially harm you or me and waste time. I hope they feel the same way, because even though I feel that way I won't hesitate to strike them down if they choose the opposite."

Toshizōu said all this while still trying to find his way about the tunnel searching for the way out. If it came to it he may spend a tad bit more chakra to be able to get out. He didn't exactly feel like dying in the tunnel without being able to find the exit. That would mess up all his plans and that was a big old no no in Toshizōu's book.

Shinku Oshiro

The Second Crimson Princess

Shinku cocked her head to the side as an unknown voice spoke to the Kaguya and herself, the door having been revealed for they had successfully solved the riddle and thus turned the lever the correct way. The tiny Shurajo listened to the announcer intently, albeit not for the information being relayed to them but for the simple fact that she couldn’t see anybody else within the room. She had been sure to sweep her eyes over every inch of the room, and unless she saw somebody this was all completely magical to her. Yet, the announcer would speak no more, for they had completed their job and thus silence descended upon the room. That was until Toshizōu finally spoke to her, beckoning her to follow him into the cavern. With a curious look and the straightening of her head, Shinku would nod her head before falling the much older Genin into the unknown. There was no other choice, for despite her not fully listening to the announcer, she had managed to hear that the floor would be dropping in five minutes, in which case she assumed anybody still within the room would fail.

As she followed her teammate into the cavern, her mismatched eyes glanced around, taking note of every little thing they passed out of interest, for she didn’t believe she had been in a place like this before. At least, not one that she can recall, in which case she assumed she hadn’t. Either way, the tiny Shurajo would eventually deem the cavern a bore, and prepared to strike up a conversation with Toshizōu, though she paused for he broke the silence between the two. Her head would cock to the side as she listened to the Kaguya, mind processing his words quickly. From what she could comprehend, the Kaguya had little desire to fight, and therefor draw blood, and hoped that whomever was stuck in the cavern felt the same. Yet, if things did turn into a brawl, he would definitely strike them down without hesitation, though she wasn’t if it would be without remorse. But that didn’t matter, for so long as Shinku had a partner that wouldn’t take the flee tactic, she was good.

“Shinku hopes that team in cavern are nice. Or Shinku will help Onii-san erase them,” said Shinku, a large smile upon her face as she continued to walk. Not words one would expect from somebody of her age, but as soon as they were said, they would be all but forgotten as she cheerfully asked for Toshizōu to carry her.

As they duo traveled through the darkness they would find themselves being able to see slightly better.  It was probably their eyes acclimating to the darkness.  Then suddenly they were in silence.  Or what they thought was silence.  Faintly, behind them, was the sound of rushing water.  It appeared they were going to be helped along be the force of a thousand tsunamis.  Or a rushing river.  Whichever they preferred.  Even if they tried to outrun it they would eventually be caught by it.  Of course this would make their travel faster, but also incredibly dangerous.  If they tried to walk on water they would find that the way the water was travelling and the water itself would not allow them to.  This last for several minutes, being water-boarded by the flooding water that is, until they suddenly found themselves falling about thirty meters down to a large pool of water that smelled like clovers.

Once they got out of the water they would find themselves in the midst of a rather square cavern.  Around 75 meters by 75 meters with large pillars going from floor to ceiling that was around 40 meters above them.  Also next to the pool of clover smelling water was a batch of grey moss.

Aerie

((OOC: I'll be NPCing Aerie until she returns with a laptop cord.))

Aerie was virtually blind in the cavern and thus chose to rely on her teammate to lead the way. She would listen intently as she was relayed information from Zevas.

Upon the activation of the night vision form of the eye, Zevas would be deeply saddened about how much he could actually see. Instead of getting lighter as they moved along, it slowly got darker until he could barely see more than five feet in from himself. It seemed the moisture in the air wasn't enough to reflect enough light for them to see, even with the glowy eye of Zevas.

And then with a step and a click they would suddenly find themselves in the brightest light they had ever seen. Well it was more of a late dawn but it was a sudden light that was activated by whomever was watching them proceed. Zevas would most definitely be temporarily blind in his special eye, if it operated like an eye should that is. Once his real eye was able to see again they would find themselves on a small overhang around 15 meters from the cavern floor. They would not be able to tell where the light comes from and would have to figure out how to get out down to the black moss covered floor below them.
