Haruna Oshiro The Innocent Malice
“Please! I’ll give everything back! Just don’t kill me!” screeched a woman who had to be in her thirties. She held her left arm up as if prepared to defend herself against something, which she may have to do since her back was against the wall and there was no where to go. Her eyes filled with fright glanced around the room that she had been cornered in, lingering on the door more than any other place though bolting for it would be futile. A red-haired child no older than ten guarded the door, and despite her being much bigger than the kid, she heavily doubted that she would be able to cross the threshold before she was killed. There was still a blonde haired child who was either in her teens or approaching them looming above her, a green disc glowed in the palm of her hand and she knew that the child would throw it without hesitation. She wouldn’t be escaping from this room, even with the skills she had acquired during her brief career as a Shinobi before she had screwed up her leg beyond repair. At this moment, the woman wished she hadn’t given up on that career path so soon, or at least opted into teaching the next generation. At least she wouldn’t had ended up in her current predicament, which was laughable when one thought about it since she was terrified of two little girls. Yet, she wasn’t one of those people who underestimated the capability of an individual because they are young. She actually was even more terrified of the duo since they were so young, but apparently were skilled enough for the mafia to send them to take care of her. It was at that moment she wished she hadn’t gotten into gambling and that she hadn’t decided that she could use her shinobi skills to help her win. She should had known that the mafia would had found out about it, and thanks to her poor decisions, she was facing the consequences. The thought alone had her regretting moving from the protection of the major village, but there was no way she could start over. Reduced from a woman who had thought herself clever to a sniveling woman begging for her life, oh how the mighty have fallen. It left her feeling bitter, and she scowled for the briefest of moments before pressing herself against the wall, the blonde haired child having moved her hand. “Where is the money and I shall not kill you,” the child said, breaking the silence but doing nothing to break the tension. She swallowed thickly, eyes staring up at the cruel smile that was plastered on the child’s face. She, for a flitting second, contemplated rather or not she should tell the nice pair of prepubescent girls where the money was. Yet, knowing that she hadn’t a single card to play nor anything that could be used as a bargaining chip, there was no room for negotiation on her part. And the offer the kid had given her was much better than dying. “Okay,” she finally answered, nodding her head frantically, “let me just get up.” She began to rise from the ground, standing upon shaky legs that she felt would give out on her at any minute. She carefully maneuvered herself around the blonde, and hurriedly headed towards where she kept the money, the blonde following her every moment closely as if the girl were a hawk and she was the prey. Within seconds she had the bundle of money in her hand and she shoved it at the blonde, the girl deactivating her green disc before taking the bundles into her hand. She nodded when she had asked if that was all the money, she had made sure she had given the blonde every cent she had cheated from the system, for she had little desire to die. The blonde smiled, turning to exit the residence. She sighed in relief, clasping onto her knees as she let out a breath she didn’t know she had been holding. “Chikara, you can kill her now,” the blonde uttered. “Y-you promised that I would live!” She managed to squeak out. “No. I said that I shall not kill you. I never said anything about my associate though. You know where to meet me, Chikara.” The blonde replied, leaving the woman no chance to retort for she exit the room. With the bundle of cash in hand, and Chikara taking care of the woman, Haruna grinned and set off to drop off the money, ignoring the pleas and screams that came from the room. Chikara

Chikara Shurajo The Crimson Princess Haruna really loved scaring the living day lights out of people, for there really was no other reason to have that green disc hovering over the palm of her hand, more than ready to tear through Mizuki if she tried anything. It was hard for Chikara to get a good look of the interaction between the Gambler and the Oshiro, but from the fear that permeated the air she could assume that the woman was about ready to soil her garbs. She wished that Haruna would hurry up and get the information that they needed, having little desire for the stench of urine to pollute the air. She caught Mizuki glancing at her, probably thinking about making a dash for the door so that she could get away which would only serve as entertainment for Haruna and her. Escape was futile, at least whilst Chikara remained beside the door, guarding it with a smile upon her face; a smile that she had no trouble flashing at the very terrified woman. Mizuki’s attention snapped back to the one who could kill her with a simple flick of the wrist, leaving Chikara to sigh deeply, fold her arms across her chest, and lean her back against the door. Being a guard dog really wasn’t much fun for the Shurajo, having become accustomed to taking a more hands on approach when it came to handling targets. Yet Haruna had stated that she was to remain by the door until she got her hands on the money, in which case Chikara would be able to do as she pleased with Mizuki. It was the only thing that dissuaded the Shurajo from disobeying the Oshiro, that and the Oshiro at the moment had a threatening green disc over the palm of her hand. And she hadn’t a strong desire to be the victim because she decided that she no longer had to listen to the blonde haired female. So she leaned against the door, remaining silent as Haruna demanded that Mizuki show her where she was keeping the money. The woman hadn’t complied immediately, seemingly contemplating the decision though everyone in the room knew that the two younger females would be walking out of this house with the money. Either with or without the help of Mizuki, though with would make the job much easier. Having come to the conclusion that she hadn’t a single upper hand on the girls nor would she gain one, Mizuki got up on shaky legs and crossed the room. Chikara eyes remained on the woman, quite prepared to deliver a blow to the woman’s abdomen if she decided to try escaping. Yet, it seemed like that had been unneeded, for she handed over the money with little hesitation. The green disc that Haruna had disappeared and she took the bundles of money. The Shurajo pushed herself from the door, arms dropping to her side as she took a couple steps forward. Shurajo and Oshiro walked by one another, the Oshiro giving the Shurajo the order to dispose of Mizuki since they had gotten what they wanted. This message of course didn’t sit well with the soon to be deceased individual, and she made that known as she backed away from the advancing Shurajo. The Oshiro repeated the earlier agreement, her way of telling the woman that she was keeping the end of her bargain and that she had no control over what the red haired child would do. And when those words were spoken, Mizuki turned whiter than she already was, the Oshiro departing from the room at that moment. “You and I,” Chikara said as she cracked her knuckles, giving Mizuki a toothy grin, “are going to have some fun.” With those words spoken, Chikara could see Mizuki’s mind rising, her eyes frantically looked around the room for anything that could help preserve her life. Yet it hadn’t reached the mind of Mizuki that her life had been forfeited the moment the Mafia had found out that she was cheating the system and stealing from them. Yet she seemed to have come to the conclusion that there was nothing nor anyone to save her, and with that thought in mind, she screamed. [Exit] Word Count: 705/700 |
