Description: I have recently been informed that in an attempt to further Kirigakure’s poison treatment plans, some medical shinobi have brought in poisonous frogs to use in testing. Some of these frogs were also released during the initial accident. They are somewhat smaller than their normal cousins, making them harder to catch. However, their skin contains various bright colors, making them easy to spot. Do not touch these frogs with your bare hands. Please gather at least five frogs to complete the mission.
From regular old frogs to poisonous ones, Chikara was wondering rather or not the staff was remotely competent, or at least held an ounce of common sense. Losing regular frogs hadn’t been much of a big deal, they were simply hard to catch but otherwise posed no threat to anyone, unless said someone had an irrational fear of frogs or was possibly allergic to them. Now losing poisonous frogs was an entirely different story for the simple fact that these frogs were smaller than their non-poisonous counterparts and that picking them up nonchalantly wasn’t an option. Thus all within the building were in danger, including Chikara, Shinku, and their respective wolf pups. So much so that the pups were forbidden to help the girls with the task for they didn’t wish the pups to get poisoned and perhaps even die over such a silly mission brought about by incompetent hospital staff.
With the option of picking up the poisonous frogs was out of the question for obvious reasons, Chikara had been sure that Shinku and herself wore long, tight fitting pants, closed toe shoes, long sleeved shirts, and gloves upon their hands. A change from their usually attire which always consisted of a simple dress, but they would only have to wear this for the day. So there weren’t many complaints by either Shurajo sibling, instead the two had split up, agreeing to take care of half the hospital and meet one another in the lab where they had gotten their glass case. It was not only to count down on time, but to also take advantage of the fact that there had been two glass case on top of the fact that they needed to work fast before harm could fall upon a member of the staff or a patient or even a visitor. From her understanding, the patient rooms had been locked upon the frogs escape, showing that the staff had at least some intelligence in their heads. Visitors had also been confined to the waiting room or a vacant patient room, as well as the staff, leaving the halls free of people and giving the frogs few places to hide out.
So it hadn’t been much of a surprise when she had spotted two frogs as she walked down the hall, Kurisu close behind her. She commanded for the pup to halt as well as to stay back, having no desire for the pup to be struck by one of the frogs if it chose to jump. Disappointment was written on the face of the black-haired pup, but otherwise Kurisu obeyed the command of his leader, something that he had done since Chikara had become the leader of the pack. So lying down upon the white tiled floor, his black eyes would watch as Chikara set down the glass case before quietly and slowly approaching one of the brightly orange colored frogs. She was sure to not immediately pick one up, for despite being covered from the neck down, she had no protection for her face. So she first tested out how high they could jump so that she knew how low she could bend down to retrieve them without fear of the frog jumping in her face. And thanks to the frog’s small body, it couldn’t jump as high as it larger but non-poisonous cousin. She measured the jump to be about five inches minimum with fifteen inches being the max height they were able to jump.
Thanks to these measurements, retrieving the two frogs and dumping them into the glass case had been easy enough. Upon securing the lid and motioning for Kurisu to follow, the two proceeded with the mission, finding four other frogs within their area before heading back to the agreed upon meeting spot. For once, Shinku was already there, her glass case containing four hideous orange frogs with Arisu sitting on top of it. With the threat of the frogs now gone, and with them safely back in their containers, those who had been confined to the many rooms within the building were allowed to leave, or in the case of patients, rest easy. With their job done, the sisters would head home with their pups, Chikara hoping that she never had to chase down frogs again.
