Blondie meets the Uchiha

Stepping into the rolling grassland, Shinji was expecting an opponent. Chunin Exams were around the corner and he knew he needed way more combat experience. As the soft breeze tickled his skin, he scanned the area. Lush green grass, a few random boulders protruding from the healthy earth, and one rich blessed oak tree that watched over the soon to be battlefield. The sun was beating down on Shinji, so he started to walk towards the green giant, eager to find refuge in its shade.

As he walked along he felt as if he was getting no closer, because of the indefinitely rolling blades of grass. The scent mildly burned his nose, but he didn't mind. Finally reaching the cooling shadow of the hulking tree, Shinji let a single sigh escape his lips. He wasn't physically tired, just mentally. His brain hadn't been put to the test in awhile and you know they say, "Use it or lose it."

With a tightly bandaged Samehada on his back and his personal Katana at his hip, he was anxious for engagement. Usually unlike Shinji, but he didn't want to fail the Kazekage in the exams or seem like a pushover.

Raphael stepped upon the rolling field of grass. He scanned the vast field assertaining this to be the perfect spot to get in some pre exam practice. Raphael had fought a lot, but he still wasn't to confident in his abilities. None the less he would not faulter at the up and coming Chunin exams. He had heard there were gonna be many powerful genin attending this year, which made him a little just a little nervous. Raphael shook off the thoughts however and turned over his right hand to look at his palm. He stared at his palm and began to tihnk about Enma and the others; by others one would mean the other "Monkey" Summons. A gentle wind blew as if telling Raphael to look up, as he did Raphael saw a large Tree and under that tree a boy that seemed older than him. Raphael looked at him blankly and began to approach him. As Raphael walked he felt as if he was at home. The weather plus the lush green of the vegetaion made him feel right at home. Moments passed and Raphael was standing in front of the boy looking at him with no expression on his face, but a look of power in his eyes.

As Shinji was taking in the beautiful area, birds chirping, leaves dancing and rustling, a boy approached him. He didn't have a need to direct his whole focus to the boy, Shinji had sensed him approaching long ago. But in a show case of respect Shinji gladly lowered his head, that had been gazing into the tree, to aim at the snowy haired ninja. What's up!? I'm Shinji Ujimasa and I'll be your opponent today! He back paced about 10m and gripped the handle of his blade. He had no need for words, he could feel the kids chakra signature and felt a familiar presence. He was an Uchiha and this knowledge made Shinji excited as ever. The sensation of his blood blazing through his body, reassured him he was ready and willing to fight.

Raphael still remained blank to the words of Shinji. He didn't even tell Shinji his name, cause well he didn't like talking and he would not start today. Raphael began to scan each and every inch of shinji as well as the sword on his back. Raphael analyzed the size and handle of the weapon and deduced it was from the mist. He had heard stories of the blade. It must have been Samehada, or at least that what he figured from the legends that would be proven to be true or remain legends after this day. Raphael prepared himself for any attack that Shinji could throw at him. He stood in a prepared fighting stance ready for shinji to make the first move.

Shinji was disappointed with the Uchiha's attitude. But what was to be expected, they were notorious for acting better than others, thanks to their blessed eyes. No name, no hello, no lets fight, just a stance. Shinji longed for more to work with, but this is all he had right now.

It would be smart to cloud his vision, but I need a challenge, taking away his sight wouldn't be much a workout. Shinji thought to himself, taking his time with his first move. Though he could easily make the battlefield out an aquatic playhouse, he choose not to. He needed to press his limits and get accustomed to difficult bouts. Seemingly lost in thought for a moment, Shinji was still ever so focused, then with a golden idea breaking through his mind, he spontaneously executed. Dog then hare. Only a split second needed to form the detrimental seals, that would kick off the fight. Noticing how lush green the grass was, that meant water most have been plenty in the area. Groundwater that is. So this said groundwater would instantly gather below the Uchiha and attempt to shoot him upward 15m into the sky, by forming into an erupting geyser. The pressure would be great enough that the Water Walking technique wouldn't be needed to be moved by it, meaning if a dodge was not pulled off, the white haired shinobi would be 15 meters high.

Not hesitating to see the results of his efforts, the half-tiger seal would be made, while he produced a kunai in his right. The Kunai would now be blessed with Shinji's custom enhancement, "Coy Blade". The simple lightweight metal would appear as normal blade though. No glow, no hum, just a deadly sharpened piece of metal. But thanks to the jutsu cast, this blade would be tossed through the sun kissed atmosphere at almost Taijutsu mastery speeds. This of course would be aimed at the Uchiha, regardless of whether the geyser struck him or not. But having the jutsu require only one handseal, that meant the interval between the two was nearly nonexistent. And with the Coy Blade jutsu only requiring one hand to perform, the other easily could withdraw a kunai at the same time. Then the next step with the effortless throw. Shinji being a Kenjutsu Adept, knew bsically every dimension of a Kunai. The weight, the feel, the amount of strength needed to get it to hit the right distance, but right now distance didn't matter. With only 10m between the two, and Shinji being a sensory nin, easily being able to track one ninja, his kunai would be thrown with utmost precision and unmatched speed. The effects of his second jutsu, eagerly tore through all resistance meaning no extra friction was added to his toss, in fact all friction was eliminated. And if a backstep was deployed, this Kunai's enhancement would allow it to pass through the geyser toll free and proceed through the water spout into the Uchiha's chest.

Or if the white haired shinobi was hit by the geyser, the kunai would meet him just at the end of his ride up. Meaning before the first jutsu would even be finished the kunai would give him an untimely death. And if the choice of action was a sidestep, the kunai would still meet the target, in not even a second. This kunai was the bringer of death itself and its target, the unnamed Uchiha.

This being a battle between Shinobi, hesitation and lenience was not welcomed and the Uchiha giving Shinji the first move was easily an action to be regretted. Maybe he had grown to comfortable and relied too much on his eyes, thus Shinji would happily teach his opponent a lesson. He would teach him the life of a normal shinobi, if you consider blind normal that is.

Description: After needed handseals, Shinji uses pre-existing water or ground water to summon a spout of water from underneath the target. This sends the target into the air, on top of the geyser. The spout reaches anywhere from 10-20m high, this height being controlled by Shinji. Due to the high pressure, even if chakra isn't applied to the feet to stand on water, the target will still be launched. After reaching the desired height, the spout of water disperses leaving the target airborne.

Description: This technique was created to rid the resistance water places against objects, mainly weapons, while submerged. With the same concept of a chakra coating, Shinji creates a thin coating that simply displaces the water or substance that is around the blade. This eliminates friction and allows the blade to move even faster than normal, due to the air molecules also being pressed away from the weapon. Shinji can apply this technique to projectiles and they will hold the enhancement until the technique is dispelled. Due to the air molecules and other surrounding substances being displaced preventing friction, along with faster attacks, the blades also have the tendency to be absolutely silent.[/spoiler]

Raphael launched 2 kunai at Shinji, as Shinji hesitated slightly. Raphael threw them just as Shinji wold close his eyes to blink. At the same moment of throwing the kunai Raphael would jump back to put more distance between then and began forming hand signs at the same time Shinji would. As the kunai ripped threw the air Raphael finished they few hand signs he need to to form and quickly released a Dragon of Fire. The dragon spiraled through the air. This jutsu was like the Suiton Jutsu Water Dragon Technique except it was made of Fire. The dragon roared and rushed behind the kunai. When the happened a vortex of water sprouted in front of the dragon. The dragon would burst through it but become smaller in the process.
