Walking into the room sheepishly he looked around without announcing himself. He didn’t typically teach the academy since he kept a rather busy schedule but today he got to work with next generation. The future pillars of the Leaf, it would be nothing shy of a honor. Leaving the door open he walked to the front of the class some got the message without him speaking other took longer and kept talking and whatever else it was that kids that wanted to be shinobi did. “Ahem! Let me not interrupt you, after all this your time… I am Alder, Alder your substitute.” The class settled down and started to take their seats. Raising his hand he signaled the young ones to pause shaking his head no he told them. “While I believe in book learning today we will be working outside, demonstration and visuals are far more suited for this.” Leaving their things behind the class hurried outside excited to find out what they would be doing.
Outside a table had already been left as well as target dummies. Most of the students hadn’t had experience with real shuriken just the wooden ones they threw at each other when they played. Placing the box of shuriken on the ground the children formed a crescent circle around him. Carefully picking one he started to explain. “Today we will be practicing shuriken throwing…”
“I totally rule at this, your going down!” Whispered one young boy as demonstrated throwing an imaginative throwing star. During this Alder had stopped talking working with Adults was different he reminded himself but education was important to him he could not just let this rudeness go.
“Come to the front, I didn’t know we had an expert amongst us. Why did they bother calling me?” Some of the kids laughed others were nervous. But confident the boy jumped up and reached towards box while staring Alder eyes. Snatching the boys arm harshly it would leave a mark. “We aren’t using dull wooden toys class these all sharp. Not looking the box Alder grabbed a shuriken piercing his skin the blood dripped down first on the other shuriken then onto the arm that Alder still although less firmly the Academy student would try wriggle free with no success. “This is also real blood.” Looking around the laughter had left their eyes. Adjusting for the mood shift his voice softened “It so important that you listen and be careful.” Reaching into his pocket he tied up hand with Uzumaki handkerchief. He had let go of the boys hand as he nodded and stood back to listen to the rest of the instructions.
After having taught them he separated them by experience and had them practing once he was confident in how they handled them he watched their performance. And took great pleasure as some of the more gifted helped the others out and how they shared tip he had given them one on one with each other. There was only one more behavior issue but all in all it was successful class. Alder said his good byes right before lunch when their regular teacher would return.
